Starting on the East side of San Jose, the first thing we will see is Democracy Place and the National Museum, the Courts, Los Yoses, San Pedro Mall, Hispanidad Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus in the University of Costa Rica.
After we have seen the capital’s main attractions, our first stop will be in the impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater where we will have a guided visit through these cultural gems.
After our visit, the tour continues to the western section of San Jose: La Sabana Metropolitan Park, Costa Rican Contemporary Art Museum or the first International Airport in Costa Rica, the National Gymnasium, the Comptroller’s office, residential area of Rohrmoser, Nunciatura, Nobel Peace prize winner Oscar Arias Sanchez’s home, Rohrmoser Boulevard and Pavas section.
At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity of visiting a interesting shopping place where you will be able to buy a souvenir of your visit of San Jose.
On Sunday, the National Theater is closed and we will only see the outside part and then visit the Pre-colombian Gold Museum.

Located north of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a natural phenomenon that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its permanent, extraordinary and trusted volcanic activity, which on clear nights it seems like fireworks with intermittent explosions of ash and lava.
We will continue on our trip until we get to this wonder from nature then we must go to the north of the country, and inevitably we must make a stop in the famous town of Sarchi, with international fame, it has earned the name of the Birthplace of Costa Rica’s Artisans.
As we continue our trip we will go throw diverse plantations with agricultural products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches until we arrive to La Fortuna, for lunch in a cozy restaurant right in front of the volcano. This excellent location will allow us the best view to see any volcanic activity.
Later we will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area where you will be able to enjoy an optional massage or other special treatment that must be reserved ahead of time.
Last, a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the volcano so you will not miss any opportunities to look out for the incandescent light explosions. After dinner we will begin our return trip to the city of San Jose.

The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we enjoy a lovely panoramic view. We take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela. In route we will go to visit the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park. As we ascend towards the volcano we will stop for a brief explanation on our golden bean the coffee, and then continue our trip through fern, flower and strawberry farms.
There is a noticeable change in temperature and vegetation, preparing us for the pleasure of the exuberant cloud forest of Poas Volcano.
At the Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, and hike on a trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon as we learn about the different ecosystems in the park. After visiting the volcano, we will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the typical restaurants of the area.
Our third stop is beautiful Grecia. Considered one of the cleanest towns of Latin America, it is home of the only Metal Church in Central America and a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. In order to catch a glimpse of local lifestyle we will also visit the central market area.

Costa Rica offers different kinds of white water rafting where the adrenaline shoots to the limit and fascinating Canopy tours can be experienced from the top of the trees. Now you can enjoy both activities combined in a single tour. Discover the natural wonders of Sarapiqui, a large territory located in the northern part of the country, with crystalline rivers, abundant scenic beauty and towns full of hard-working and friendly people.
As we depart from San Jose we drive close to Braulio Carrillo National Park, arriving to Sarapiqui where both adventure attractions can be enjoyed: the Canopy Tour in the middle of a secondary forest with high altitude trees, followed by lunch, and then Rafting in the white waters of the Sarapiqui River.
The Canopy tour lasts one and a half hour as you slide through the forest from ten cables of different lengths. Rafting on the Sarapiqui River on class II or III which allows a vibrant scenary for those who wish to enjoy this exciting activity. A group of unexpected rapids is combined with slow relaxing stretches along a distance of 8-miles which will make this an unforgettable experience for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

We depart San Jose towards the Pacific coast via the Old Spanish route of 1606,a brief stop along the way for breakfast.
Once we arrive to our first destination, we will ride a boat along the Tarcoles River. Our guides will take us into the world of crocodiles, water and migratory birds.
After our boat ride we will visit one of the most beautiful protected areas, Punta Leona Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by 750 hectares of transitional tropical wet forest to tropical dry forest, which is characteristic of this region. The beauty of its white sands and deep blue ocean are particular of the Pacific coast.
You will have all day free to enjoy this beautiful place and to enjoy the optional activities such as water sports, bathing in the crystal waters of the ocean or using the hotel pools. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in one of the local restaurants.
In the afternoon you may wish to enjoy an optional guided walk throught the jungle. Taking only one and a half hour, it is a good opportunity to observe wild life such as reptiles, amphibians and scorpions.

Only one and a half hours from San Jose, we can enjoy one of the most complete and interesting adventure activities operated close to the city. It is the tour to Sueño Azul, which includes three fun adventures: Tubing down a river, horse back riding tour and canopy tour. All three in just one day.
Geared with life vests and a rubber tube you will glide for an hour in a river of very moderate velocity allowing you to enjoy the vegetation around you. Then and for approximately one hour you will be able to horse back ride with well cared for horses until you arrive to the first platform of the Canopy tour. Again, for an hour, you will be able to enjoy the forest, this time from the top, due to the ease of this thrilling activity.

The Canyoning tour in the reserve begins near a lake where general instructions and the appropriate equipment will be given by the guides. 10 minutes easy hike will lead you to 150 meters Canopy cable that will take you to the first rappel point, - a 43 meters tree platform.
At the tree base you will experience world unique Running Tarzan Swing.
50 meters easy hike and you are on a hanging bridge where four descends in total will begin. The first is 51 meters rappel from the bridge to the waterfall follow by 10, 14 and 18 meters rappels.
The tour continues to the BIG “super Tarzan Swing” and visits the Balsa River with its magnificent canyon views, wildlife and natural swimming pools.
Horseback riding or tractor carriage to the starting point will end the tour. The tour is not difficult and suits most ages.
